Forbes Online Reports on Regina Y. Yeh’s Victory in Facebook Message Dispute

September 28, 2010 - Forbes article on conflicting law regarding the privacy of Facebook messages trumpets the favorable ruling obtained in Federal Court by Regina Y. Yeh of Doniger / Burroughs. The ruling was obtained on behalf of artist Buckley Crispin in his lawsuit against Christian Audigier. Ms. Yeh persuasively argued to the court that Mr. Crispin’s Facebook messages were private, and not subject to disclosure.

Apparently, a firm seeking the same ruling in New York was not as successful, creating a split of authority on the question of whether or not Facebook messages are discoverable.
