Doniger / Burroughs Client Prevails at Summary Judgment Stage against Hyatt Hotels

Los Angeles, CA – Peter Benke, an artist and photographer whose photographs were used in violation of a written license, has prevailed at the summary judgment stage in his copyright case against Hyatt Hotels. The Court found that Mr. Benke owned the works in question, and that Hyatt continued to publish and display the works after the license related to the works had expired. The case will now proceed to trial on damages and other issues.
